Job beskrivelse:
Job description
Are your our next Software Developer Assistant?
Your profile
As a student in this project, you will need a general knowledge of UNIX and skills in SQL statements and working with databases.
Knowledge of MySQL or DB2 is preferred, but all SQL statements will be expected to be generic in order to move from MySQL to DB2 later on, thus no requirements for specific knowledge of either product.
Programming skills in Perl are preferred; however, Perl is based on C and PHP is loosely based on Perl so if you are familiar with either of these programming languages, you will be able to adapt to Perl fairly quickly.
Basic HTML skills are required as most output will need to be written in HTML.
You must be able to "think outside the box" and develop solutions based on loose requirements by non-programming and non-technical designers. Besides, you must have the ability to work with designers in an iterative fashion to eventually reach an acceptable solution. Experience in working with huge amounts of non-structured data is preferred. Ability to create use cases.
The work
You will be assigned to an internal project in GTS Denmark where your main tasks will be related to systems development (programming).
The work is high-paced, but involves a lot of communication in a friendly atmosphere. The work environment is dynamic, exciting, and professional. As a member of the team, you can expect to gain experience in the following areas:
- Teamwork in a small team of skilled software programmers
- Technical and practical support within the team of professionals
- Warm, humorous, relaxed working conditions
- In-depth knowledge about IBM's delivery organization
- Good conditions for personal and professional development
We offer
- Flexible working hours
- Good posibilities for mentoring
- The IBM Club
- A good canteen
The working hours will be approximately 15-20 hours per week. We are, of course, flexible during examination periods.
This work opportunity is of the utmost importance to IBM so it requires that you can work systematically, are responsible, and are able to adhere to agreements and deadlines. In return, we offer you exciting and challenging work that is relevant to your studies.
